Juniors: Rush and Eagles Qualify for the USPHL Premier Playoffs

With three games to go in the USPHL Premier season the Carolina Eagles qualified for the playoffs by defeating the Atlanta Jr. Kings 4-1 at home.  They will finish in fourth place in the South East division while the Charlotte Rush will finish the season in second place.   The last two games of the regular season for the Eagles and Rush is against each other which will no doubt be a heated series between the two North Carolina clubs.

Carolina and Charlotte have played each other four times this season with Charlotte winning three and Carolina one.  This means that if Carolina can manage to sweep the last two games of the season that they will end up with a 3-3 regular season series tie.

In the Elite league, which is a step below Premier, the Charlotte Rush finished in third place in the South East division behind the Hampton Roads Whalers and Richmond Generals.  Unfortunately, the Carolina Eagles failed to qualify, finishing fifth out of six teams in the South East.

For both divisions, when there is more information available in terms of dates, times, and their opponents I will update this article when that happens.
