Today the ACCHL has announced the opening match-ups for the post-season tournament in Winston-Salem that will played on Friday, February 15th. Here are how the teams are seeded:
- NC State
- Georgetown
- Virginia
- Wake Forest
- UNC Charlotte
- George Washington
- Virginia Tech
- St. Joseph's
Out of the eight teams, three are from North Carolina: NC State, Wake Forest, and UNC Charlotte. The team to beat is definitely NC State. The Wolfpack finished the season perfect with a record of 21 wins and zero losses. While the confidence is there State they haven't had the chance to play Virginia or St. Joseph's, but they have played and beaten the other five teams in the tournament.
All games will be played at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex and here is the schedule for the tournament:
Quartfinals (Feb. 15):
Game 1: #3 Virginia vs. #6 George Washington; Noon
Game 2: #1 NC State vs. #8 St. Joseph's; 3pm
Game 3: #4 Wake Forest vs. #5 UNC Charlotte; 6pm
Game 4: #2 Georgetown vs. #7 Virginia Tech
Semi-finals (Feb. 16):
Game 1: TBD; 4:30pm
Game 2: TBD; 7:30pm
Championship (Feb. 17):
